You might have heard about AI Overviews, which give you quick summaries right in your search results. Think of AI Mode as the next level – it’s like having a super-smart assistant right inside Google Search, ready to tackle your most complex questions.
What’s the Big Deal About AI Mode?
Imagine you have a really tricky question, something that would usually take you multiple searches and a lot of digging to find an answer. That’s where AI Mode shines! Powered by a custom version of our advanced Gemini 2.5 AI model, it’s designed to understand and help you with:
- Long, Complex Questions: No more breaking down your queries into tiny pieces! You can ask detailed, nuanced questions, almost like you’re talking to a person. For example, instead of searching “indoor activities for kids” and then “activities for 4 and 7 year olds,” you can ask: “My kids are 4 and 7 and have lots of energy. Suggest creative ways to get them active and moving indoors, especially on hot days, without needing a lot of space or expensive toys.” AI Mode gets it!
- Deeper Exploration: AI Mode can actually break down your question into different parts and search for all those sub-topics at once. This means you get a much more comprehensive answer, often with links to various sources so you can dive deeper if you want.
- Conversational Follow-ups: The best part? You can keep the conversation going! If you have more questions related to your initial query, AI Mode remembers the context, making your search experience incredibly smooth and natural.
- Multimodal Magic: We know how much you love using Google Lens in India – you’re actually among the top users globally! That’s why AI Mode is built to work with more than just text. You can now use your voice or even upload an image to ask questions. Got a new plant and want to know how to care for it? Just snap a pic and ask!
